We respect the privacy of our users.

 

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our mobile communication application.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Application after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party online/mobile store from which you install the Application.


PERMISSIONS: You will need to give the app permission to access your contacts (read phonebook), make calls (dial USSD), read the state of your phone (CORE FUNCTIONALITY) to determine your mobile number and generate the appropriate codes.

USSD USAGE: The app will generate a USSD code internally, based on network conditions and contact information, and dial this USSD code on your behalf.

READ CONTACTS: In order to create a list of eligible contacts, the app will need to read through your contact list and create a new list inside this app.

​

INTERNET: We have streamlined the registration process for promotions and designed a web view within the app, so you no longer need to use an external browser. Therefore INTERNET permission is required.

​

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: In order to avoid errors in page loading, we check if your phone has an active internet connection before loading any content.

​

If you are uncomfortable with these permissions, you do not have to allow them, or you can remove them at any time. The app might not work as expected, but some features will still operate.

COLLECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION: Please Call Me SA aims to keep app overheads as low as possible to maintain a small install size. Therefore, we limit the amount of database-related libraries in our app. Each user has the option to register their details with us, and we store this data on a third-party database (Wix). The information provided by each user is only internally used to send promotional emails or SMS's to our registered users. If a user does not want to be associated with our database anymore, there are several channels they can follow to remove themselves. Either send us an email or use the "contact us" form (www.pleasecallmesa.co.za).

Furthermore, we are able to gather some information from the user's activity, and we use this information to store engagement scores. Engagement scores are a combination of actions the user takes, including using the app frequently, sending please call me's, sharing the app and registering, as mentioned above. All this data is encrypted since we use Firebase and FireStore (https://cloud.google.com/firestore/docs/server-side-encryption). The user also has the option to opt in or out of this functionality, we do however encourage opting in to ensure each user is treated fairly when we choose promotional winners.

USE CASE:

If you use the Please Call Me service, you only have to accept READ CONTACTS, CALL PHONE and READ PHONE STATE (for us to determine the network you are on).

PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

A Premium subscription is not required to use the app. Users are not obligated to subscribe to this service.
Our Premium subscription is billed monthly at ZAR 2.00 each month until you cancel the subscription. We offer a 7-day grace period.


Premium advantages include no ads and early access to new features.


You will only be charged for the first month at the end of the next billing date.


Once subscribed, your subscription details will be shown under the "Account" page. A link is provided to manage or cancel your subscription at any time.


Alternatively, you can navigate to Google Play -> Payments and subscriptions on your Android device to manage or cancel your subscription.


Cancellation and refunds are managed through the Google Play Billing platform. If you experience any issues please contact us at accesscommsa@gmail.com and we will assist you.
